Jabali Wells, M.D., M.B.A., M.Sc. is a Founder, Managing Partner and Chairman of Blackpoll.  A global healthcare executive, he has 20 years investment, management and policy experience.  


Prior to Blackpoll, Dr. Wells was a founder and Managing Partner of Amicus Capital Partners, LLC, a healthcare–focused private equity firm.  


Dr. Wells has also advised numerous government agencies in Europe, Latin America and Asia on matters related to healthcare, infrastructure and development.  Most recently, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the U.S.–Brazil CEO Forum, an advisory board composed of 24 CEOs from the U.S. and Brazil that provides joint recommendations for the governments to increase bilateral trade and investment. 


Dr. Wells received an B.A. from UCLA, M.D. from the Emory University School of Medicine (XSM), M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.  He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Royal Society of Medicine (UK), and Chatham House (UK)He speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
